The terms for using PepNote’s account, tracking, educational and optional AI services, alongside Apple’s standard app license.

1. Your agreement with PepNote
These terms apply to the PepNote app, website, account and associated services provided under the PepNote name (“PepNote”, “we”, “us”). Contact us at [email protected]. Creating an account or using the services after being presented with these terms indicates your agreement, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
You must have legal capacity to enter this agreement, or a parent or guardian must agree on your behalf where the law allows that arrangement. Any required parental authorization for personal-data processing is separate. An App Store content rating does not authorize use of medicines or remove applicable legal requirements.
2. The app license and Apple
For an app obtained from Apple’s App Store, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs the license to the app, unless a different valid license is expressly supplied in the App Store. These terms supplement that license for PepNote’s services; they do not replace it or restrict mandatory consumer rights.
PepNote, rather than Apple, is responsible for the PepNote service and support except for responsibilities Apple expressly undertakes. App Store payment, refund and account rules also apply to transactions through Apple. If these terms conflict with the standard license on the scope of the app license or Apple’s rights, the standard license controls that issue.
3. Tracking and education
PepNote helps you record a routine you choose with your healthcare professional: schedules, dose logs, vial inventory, notes and progress. It can display permitted Apple Health readings, provide educational material and respond to optional AI questions. It does not prescribe, diagnose, recommend a treatment or determine whether a compound is safe, legal or appropriate for you.
The app is not a substitute for qualified healthcare, a clinical record system or an emergency service. Do not start, stop or change a medicine, peptide, dose or preparation because of app content. Contact local emergency services for urgent medical help; support and chat are not monitored for emergencies.
The health disclaimer forms part of these service terms. It explains limits, not a waiver of rights or a claim of medical or regulatory approval.
4. Your account and records
Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and tell us about suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for the records you choose to enter and for checking that dates, amounts, units, concentrations and logged actions match what actually happened.
A scheduled dose is not proof that it was taken. A missing log is not proof that a dose was missed. Stock balances and forecasts depend on the records and corrections you enter. Sync can be delayed or interrupted; check important records after changing devices or working offline.
Do not rely on PepNote as the only copy of information necessary for your medical care. Account-management and deletion options remain available if a subscription ends.
5. Calculations, reminders and availability
Any dose, concentration, volume, syringe-unit or reconstitution calculation is arithmetic based on your inputs. It does not select a dose, verify a vial’s contents, confirm a prescription, establish sterility or compatibility, or replace preparation instructions from a qualified professional.
Syringe scale markings, mass units and medicine-specific units are not interchangeable. A displayed rounded result or projected stock estimate can differ from an exact value. Have a qualified healthcare professional verify inputs and results before making a medical decision.
Reminders depend on your permissions, device settings, local time, the app’s scheduled queue and operating-system delivery. They may be delayed, suppressed or stop until the app is reopened. Do not use them as a safety-critical alarm or instruction to take a dose. Features and availability may vary with device, connection and service conditions.
6. Optional AI
Cloud chat is optional and requires its separate data-sharing permission. The privacy policy and in-app disclosure describe the messages, document text and snapshot of app-entered records shared with OpenRouter and model providers. Provider retention and training practices can vary. Unsent drafts and reviewed document text can be saved to your account separately from AI inference.
AI can be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date or misleading, including when it sounds confident or cites sources. Verify important answers and any supported changes it makes to saved records. You remain in control of healthcare decisions; do not use chat for diagnosis, personalized treatment or emergencies.
Only upload content you are authorized to share. Do not send unnecessary identifying details, another person’s health records without authority, or material whose confidentiality is incompatible with the disclosed cloud processing. Turning off chat stops new requests; it cannot recall information already processed.
7. Subscriptions and purchases
Paid features are offered through auto-renewing App Store subscriptions where available. The purchase screen shows the actual product, billing period, included access and localized price before you confirm with Apple. A yearly plan is billed for the full year; a displayed monthly equivalent is a comparison, not monthly billing.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm, unless the confirmed offer defers the first payment, such as an eligible free trial. Unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends, a subscription renews automatically. Apple normally initiates renewal billing within the 24 hours before the period ends; unsuccessful billing may be retried later under Apple’s rules. Manage or cancel it in Apple’s subscription settings. Deleting PepNote or your account does not cancel App Store billing.
No free trial is included unless the purchase screen explicitly offers one. Any offer will state its eligibility, duration and subsequent price; Apple’s purchase confirmation controls the transaction. Prices and changes are subject to the notices and consent required by Apple and applicable law.
Use Restore purchases in the paywall or More → Subscription to check eligible purchases. Restore using the Apple Account associated with the purchase; access also depends on the app account linked to that purchase. Contact support if restoration does not work.
Apple administers App Store refund requests. Cancellation ordinarily ends future renewal while access continues through the paid period, subject to a refund or revocation. Nothing in these terms removes statutory refund, withdrawal, conformity or other consumer rights.
8. Your content and our content
You retain your rights in records and other content you provide. You authorize PepNote to process that content to provide the functions you request and as explained in the privacy policy and any separate permissions. Optional cloud AI also involves provider uses expressly disclosed in the AI notice, which may include retention and model improvement; those uses are not limited to producing a single response. This does not give PepNote an unrestricted right to publish your private journal.
PepNote’s software, design, brand, illustrations and editorial content are protected by intellectual-property laws. Your license allows personal use within the app and service; it does not authorize copying, resale, impersonation or redistribution beyond what the license or law permits.
Third-party sources retain their rights. AI output may not be unique or protectable and may contain errors or third-party material. We do not promise exclusive rights to every AI response.
9. Acceptable use
Use PepNote lawfully and within its intended tracking and educational purpose.
- Do not gain unauthorized access, interfere with other users, bypass billing or security controls, or overload the service.
- Do not use it to facilitate unlawful drug sales, dangerous instructions, harassment, exploitation, fraud or infringement.
- Do not submit malicious files or content you lack authority to share.
- Do not present PepNote or an AI response as a licensed clinician, approved prescription, or regulatory endorsement.
10. Privacy and permissions
Our privacy policy explains account synchronization, Apple Health, AI, service providers, retention and your choices. Terms acceptance is not a substitute for any separate permission or explicit health-data consent required by law.
You can change optional permissions, remove supported records, request access to your information, or delete your account. Some functionality cannot operate without the information necessary to provide it.
11. Suspension, termination and service changes
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. Cancel App Store subscriptions separately. Account deletion is intended to be permanent and may make your saved records unrecoverable.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address a material breach, fraud, a security threat, legal obligations or harm. Where practicable and lawful, we will explain the action and provide a way to contact support. This does not remove applicable access, deletion or consumer rights.
We may update or discontinue features, including third-party AI availability. Material changes to paid services will be handled with the notice and remedies required by applicable law and App Store rules. We do not promise that a particular external model, feature or service will remain available indefinitely.
12. Service limitations and responsibility
We aim to provide a reliable service, but cannot promise uninterrupted access or that records, content and generated answers will always be error-free. To the extent permitted by law, no additional guarantee is given about suitability for a medical purpose or the accuracy of third-party or AI material.
We are responsible to the extent required by applicable law. We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including applicable liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Mandatory consumer guarantees and remedies remain available.
Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for losses caused solely by information you enter incorrectly, unauthorized use not attributable to our failure, or events outside our reasonable control. This clause does not excuse a failure to use legally required care or security, and does not shift our legal duties to you.
13. Disputes and consumer rights
Contact [email protected] first so we can try to resolve a concern. These terms do not require arbitration, waive collective redress rights, select an exclusive foreign court, or deprive you of mandatory protections available where you live.
The law and courts with jurisdiction are determined by applicable rules. Nothing here overrides rights under the Apple standard license or local consumer and data-protection law.
14. Changes to these terms
We will identify a new version by its update date and provide notice of material changes where required. Changes do not retroactively remove accrued rights. If a change needs agreement or a new permission, we will seek it as required.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision immediately is not a permanent waiver. Questions about these terms can be sent to [email protected].
